Another Wednesday means another Hodgepodge.
1) Fall officially rolls into the Northern Hemisphere on Monday (9/22)...what's your favorite thing about fall?
There are 3 things - football, changing leaves and a trip to the cider mill.
2) What's one thing on your real or proverbial autumn bucker list?
I would love to do a New England colors cruise.
3) Apples, pumpkins, sweet potatoes, butternut squash and cranberries are some of the top fall foods. Which one is your favorite and how do you like it prepared? Any on the list you don't eat? Which one have you had most recently?
I love pumpkin. I like it in pie, I love the seeds roasted, pumpkin pancakes and I also like Rachael Ray's Pasta with Pumpkin and Sausage recipe. I have eaten all of them but I am not a big fan of butternut squash. I do like real cranberries and really do not like the jellied sauce served at Thanksgiving. I have probably had apples most recently.
4) 'Fall is proof that change is beautiful' is a popular sentiment. Would you agree or no? Elaborate.
I really think it depends. There are some changes that can be beautiful even if they do not start out that way. However, there are some things that change us so fundamentally it is hard to see the beauty in them
5) Is there a spot near you where people go to see the leaves change? Will you try to leaf peep somewhere this fall? Lonely planet lists the following ten places as the best for leaf peeping...of those listed which would you most like to visit?
Stowe, Vermont~Shenandoah National Park, Virginia~Columbia River Gorge, Oregon~Zion National Park, Utah~Tennessee/North Carolina border~West Virgina~Northwestern Wyoming~Wisconsin Northwoods~Northern Nevada~Ozark Highlands Scenic Byway, Arkansas
I've never been to Michigan but would like to get there one day. It would probably be summertime though. I hope all is well and you find clarity about whatever is causing you distress. Take care.
