I have been on a knitting tear lately. I think the change in weather has brought my knitting mojo back. My latest finished object are my Fallberry Mitts.
I knit these for both the Retro Lemon Studio Fall Accessories KAL and the Student Knits October Fingerless Mitts KAL. Now I will be totally honest and say that I have never really understood the concept of fingerless mitts. My fingers are always the coldest part of my hand so having them exposed made no sense to me. However, I think I am a convert now. I love these and know they will be getting a lot of use this fall. The pattern was very easy to knit and the yarn - Debbie Bliss Donegal Tweed - was wonderful to work with. I have more of the yarn so I may make a different pair of fingerless mitts for me or a pair of mittens for Clark. I am really happy with how this project turned out. To bad my socks are not coming along as well - but that is a story for later. Until next time ....

my fingertips are usually the coldest part of my hands too but for some reason, these fingerless mitts do wonders! they look great. :)
