True Life Tuesday

In my post yesterday I mentioned how I have been watching a lot of true crime videos on Facebook. I have always been interested in true crime and history. My hubby always says that he worries that I like to watch all these shows about wives killing their husbands. I do try to remind him that sometimes it is the husband who kills the wife but that does not seem to make him feel better.

Watching these videos has given me the idea for a blog theme. So I am going to start True Life Tuesday. This post could be about a true crime case, a little known person or event from history or some other real life happenings out in the world.

For my first post I am going to let you in on some of my favorite places to learn and hear about true crime and histoey.

1) Bailey Sarian -  the hostess of Murder, Mystery & Makeup. She does her make up while talking about a true crime story.

2) Stephanie Harlowe - she discusses a lot of unsolved cases.

3) Undisclosed - this podcast deals with cases where people seem to have been wrongfully convicted.

4) Criminal - a podcast that gets to the backstory of both criminals and victims.

4) Stuff You Missed in History Class  - a podcast about lesser known people and events in history.

5) The Bowery Boys - a podcast of New York history.

6) Unsolved - a podcast about unsolved crimes. This one is no longer active but is worth a listen.

7) You Must Remember This - a history of Hollywood's golden age.

If you have any suggestions for me please let me know. I am always on the lookout for new programs.

It's not a podcast, but Bill Kurtis is bring back Cold Case Files. Here is a link to the article: https://tvline.com/2021/08/20/bill-kurtis-cold-case-files-return-season-premiere-interview/

He was the Channel 2 news anchor in Chicagoland for pretty much ever. I've always had a huge crush on him :-D
