The Grab Your Mug Hodgepodge

 Here are the questions for the week.

1) What's a characteristic you admire in others? Elaborate.

Determination. I admire those who know what they want and go after it without letting things stand in their way. 

2) Do you have a favorite mug? Let's see it. Why is this one your favorite?

I do not have a favorite mug. I do not drink coffee or tea where I would use a mug. I drink my Cherry Coke Zero from the bottle and my water out of a metal cup.

3) July 15th is/was National Give Something Away Day ... will you (or did you, depending on what day you answer these questions) give something away? If so what? Do you regularly give away or do you tend to 'accumulate'?

No I did not give anything away on the 15th. We tend to accumulate but we have a ton of stuff that we need to get rid of.

4) You're planning a trip. Do you prefer exploring big cities or smaller, more off the grid towns? World Atlas lists these 12 'off the grid' towns to see in 2025. How many on the list have you seen? Of those listed which one would you most like to visit? Tell us why? 

I enjoy both big and small cities. I will say that being in a smaller town can be more relaxing that a big city. I have never been to any of the locations on the list. Saugatuck is not that far from us but it is a huge touristy area and is pretty expensive. I think Boothbay Harbor, Maine looks very interesting. I have never been in New England and the picture on the site is beautiful.

5. Have you ever...ridden a motorcycle? been to a Disney park? met a celebrity? won a contest? Tell us something about whatever you answered yes to on this list.  

I have never ridden a motorcycle - they scare me. I have been to Disney World when I was 10 with my parents and when I was 15 with my HS marching band. I have met a few athletes - Steve Yzerman, Joey Kocur, Kris Draper and Darren McCarty from the Detroit Red Wings. I sort of met Derek Jeter. Hubby and I were at a Tigers vs Yankees game back when we first started dating. We had 4 tickets so had 2 extra seats. When we got to the seats there were 2 guys sitting in our seats. Of course my hubby told them we had extras and they could stay. Well this was a 1pm game and these guys were drunk as skunks already. Now the seats were right next to the visitor's dugout 3 or 4 rows up from the field. These guys were harassing the Yankees players the entire time. This is when Derek Jeter and Mariah Carey were dating. The guy yelled out "hey Jeter I had Mariah and she said I was better." Derek looks at me and says "are you with this idiot?" I said "No I'm with him" and pointed to my hubby. He said "good you're a nice looking girl and would deserve better than that" as he points to the drunk guy. I swooned over that for days!

I can hardly believe that summer break is half over already. I feel like I am going to blink it will be Christmas and we will be ringing in 2026. I am not ready for this at all.
