November Fitness Check In

Another month means another fitness check in. November was a rough month. I have a very difficult time with the falling back time change and the lack of light that follows.

Fitness: I only managed to work out for 264 minutes out of a goal of 600 minutes. Again it was a rough month and I had a hard time dragging my butt out of bed.

Food: again this is my biggest obstacle. I seem to be ok when I am at work because I am limited to what I bring but once I am home it is a free for all. There was also a lot of ice cream and cheesecake consumed this month because of anniversary, birthday and Thanksgiving celebrations.

Weight: I gained .03lbs for the month. Considering how bad I ate and the fact that I did not work out much I am happy with this number. I lost an inch off of my thighs and the rest of my measurements stayed the same.

I hoping that December will be better but with the holidays you never know.

October Fitness Check In

Another month has come and one and it is time to check in again

Fitness: I only worked out 5 days the entire month for a total of 179 minutes

Food: I am still writing everything down at My Fitness Pal during the week. I have not been tracking on the weekends and I may need to change that.

Weight: I lost a pound for the month. I also lost inches on my upper bust, waist, thighs and calves.

I really need to start getting my butt in gear. I also need to get back to the doctor and get back on my meds.

September Fitness Check In

Again it is almost the middle of the month before I am posting this. Of course there is not much to tell so this will be quick.

Fitness: I only worked out for 335 minutes of the 690 I wanted to do.

Weight: I managed to somehow lose 4 pounds in the month. I lost inches on my neck, arm and bust while everything else remained the same.

Food: she is still my biggest temptress.

August Fitness Check In

Now that it is almost the end September I am posting my August fitness check in.

Fitness: I completed my goal of 630 fitness minutes - I actually completed 632 minutes. I added in some toning exercises again.

Weight: I ended up gaining 0.4 lbs for the month. I lost inches in my neck, upper bust, thigh and calf. My arm, bust and waist stayed the same.

Food: again this is my downfall. There has been a lot of stress this year and I still stress eat way to much.

Until next time ....

July Fitness Check In

July was the month I decided to reboot my fitness efforts for the year. I managed to do pretty well. Unfortunately the scale did not show it. I did maintain for the month which is better than a gain but still not ideal.

Fitness: the goal for the month was 690 fitness minutes and I managed to complete 695. I have been riding the stationary bike in the morning. Next month I want to add some spot training to start toning up a bit.

Food: this is my biggest struggle. I have started using My Fitness Pal to track my food. While I am not eating a ton of junk I am still eating to much.

As always this is a long journey but it all begins with one step at a time. I need to remember that when I want to give up. Until next time ....

The Time Has Come

It is no secret that once you become a mom you tend to put yourself last. You become so focused on taking care of your child that your own health and are put on the back burner. This is something that I have been doing for the past 2 years since Clark was born. I have been in denial about the weight that is going on my body and what is going on inside of it. I finally have realized that I cannot go on like this. The time has come to take control of my health.

I have been making some small changes over the past couple of weeks. Eating only one piece of toast with peanut butter for my AM snack instead of two, not having seconds at dinner and not eating anything after 8pm are just a few. I know myself well enough to know that major drastic changes will never work for me. I just do not have enough willpower to sustain those dramatic changed over time. I have also started to work out. The past week I have managed to walk 6 out of 8 days. I hate walking in our neighborhood since we have no sidewalks and our road is curvy and people drive way to fast so I have been doing the Denise Austin Blast Away the Pounds DVD that I got from the library. She is really annoying but it works for me. Jerry found a Wii at a Salvation Army a couple of weeks ago for $25 and also found a Wii Fit DVD a few days ago. Now we just need to get a board and we will be all set. I know this is going to be a long journey. I would love to get back to the weight I was in high school even though that is still about 20 pounds over my ideal weight for my height. That means I have almost 80 pounds to go. I am just taking things one day at a time. Until next time ....
