FO: Hugo the Monster

Clark loved the Hilda the Monster I made so much I hated to take it away from him. So I decided to make him one of his own. This is Hugo the Monster. I love him and want to keep him for myself! However I will give him to Clark for his birthday.

I am quickly becoming a monster knitter. I have joined Team Knitabulls for the Ravellenic games. I plan on knitting some Owl Puffs as well as a Chelsea the Chatterbox. These on top of the Cabled Vest I will be knitting for Team Michigan will certainly keep me busy during the games. Until next time ....

FOs: Chirps on Parade

These little chirps are very cute and addictive. I managed to knit 3 of them in less than a week. These are for the foster toy driver for Lavender Bear's Tea Time podcast. I am happy to introduce:

Chicka the Chirp

 Chicko the Chirp

 Bianca the Chirp

Here ends the FOs for awhile. Next up - believe it or not - is some spinning. Until next time ....

FO: Hilda the Monster

First of all I cannot believe June is almost over. I guess my mom was right when she told me the older you get the quicker time goes by. I have been busy knitting and do have a few finished objects to show you. First up is Hilda the Monster.

The pattern is the Gotta Love Me Monster by Kimberly Kwon. I made this for the toy drive my friend Suzanne is doing for her Lavender Bear's Tea Time podcast. She works in the foster care system and she is collecting toys for their agency picnic. This is made up of Lion Brand Wool-Ease, Caron Smply Soft Eco and Paton's Classic Wool. Clark loved it so I will need to make one for him as well. She is very huggable and squishy and I love her. I hope she will put a smile on the face of a very deserving child. Until next time ....

Believe It or Not Here's More FOs

I have managed to complete a couple more projects in the last few days. I have been on quite the knitting kick lately. So without further ado here we go. This is the 5th washcloth set for end of the year gifts for Clark's teachers. The yarn is Sugar 'n Cream in Faded Denim and these are the Grandma's favorite and Darryl Waltrip patterns.

Next up is my Ashton Shawlette for the April/May KAL for the Knitting Blooms group. No there was a bit of heartbreak with this one. I ran out of yarn about 25 stitches from the end of my bind off. I ripped back to the start of chart 4 and was able to leave out one row and then I had enough yarn to finish. It still needs to be blocked but I love it already

Finally we have a boy and his monster. I knit this Monster Chunks for Clark and he loves it. I feel a monster knitting obsession coming on!

That smile says it all. Until next time ....
