Books Read: September 2013

Another month has come and gone and it is time to look back at the books I managed to complete.

1) Deeds of the Disturber: An Amelia Peabody Mystery by Elizabeth Peters - in this installment Amelia and her family stay home but trouble and murder still seem to find them. Has an ancient curse found its way to England?

2) Abdication: A Novel by Juliet Nicholson - this novel follows the stories of May Thomas, Evangeline Nettlefold and Julian Richardson as they go through the year 1939 and the abdication of the King of England.

3) Let's Pretend This Never Happened: A Mostly True Memoir by Jenny Lawson - the hilarious life story of growing up weird in small town Texas.

4) The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society by Mary Ann Shaffer and Annie Burrows - told through the letters of writer Juliet Ashton and the members of the society she hopes to write a book about following the German occupation of the island during WWII.
