I was lucky enough to win the premiere issue of DIY Holiday 2014 from Jennifer at the Craft Sanity podcast. Although it is a little late for your 2014 holiday crafting I feel like most of these projects can be made all year long. The issue includes sewing, beading, knitting, crochet, weaving and mixed media. Some of my favorite projects are:
Holiday Lights Garland - this makes me wish I could crochet.
Walker Scarf - a nice masculine scarf with an interesting cable pattern

There are also articles about crafting with recycled materials and also some projects from different Interweave books. All in all I would recommend this issue.
