Wednesday Hodgepodge

It is Wednesday which means it is once again time for the Hodgepodge.

1. Let's do our gratitude question first this week...what's the best thing about your home, and have you taken time to enjoy it lately?

The best part of my home is the people who live here with me. I also love the area we live in - it is very safe and naturally beautiful. We also have a lot of wildlife around. I have not taken time to think about enjoying it but I do love my home.

2. Do you like squash? Of the varieties listed, which one's your favorite and how do you like it prepared? Is squash of some sort on your Thanksgiving menu??

acorn, butternut, delicata, spaghetti, zucchini, crookneck (yellow squash), patty pan

No I am not really a squash fan. I do enjoy zucchini bread though. We do not eat squash for Thanksgiving. In fact, I do not remember my mom making it when I was growing up.

3. Last time you were 'squashed in' somewhere, or felt squashed?

At the farmhouse during Preston's field trip 2 weeks ago. The house is small and we had 25 kids, 6 parents, 2 teachers and the tour guide crammed inside.

4. Have you ever played squash? What about other 'racquet sports' such as racquetball, tennis, pickleball, badminton, table tennis (ping pong)? Are these sports something you enjoy?

I have never played squash. I did "play" tennis a bit as a kid and have played table tennis sometimes. I do like ping pong but am not very good at it.

5. Something in today's society or culture that feels like a 'racket' to you? If you don't like that one, tell us about a place you've been recently where there was a lot of 'racket'.

There are so many things. The government, scammers, fake AI posts on social media.

6.  Insert your own random thought here.

No matter what certain pundits may say 15 year old girls are CHILDREN! They are not "barely legal" or women in training or underage girls but CHILDREN!
