Wednesdays Are For Knitting and Reading

I really want to do more knitting and reading in 2025. So far I have read and knit everyday of the year. Even if I only read 1 page or knit 1 row I am calling it a win. I even managed to finish a project.

Pattern: Olivia Lacy Baby Hat

Yarn: Premier Just Yarn Worsted in Turquoise

Needles: Size 5

Started: 12/13/24

Completed: 1/11/25

Comments: A nice and easy pattern. This is preemie hat #1 for 2025

In reading I am currently reading two books. The first is The Miracle Power of Your Mind by Joseph Murray. I should finish this one today or tomorrow. I am finding this very interesting. I am pleasantly surprised about the author's view on women. Considering the book was published in 1952 he had a pretty modern take. The second book is There's Someone Inside Your House by Stephanie Perkins. I am only about 30 pages in but I am liking it so far. I also am in the middle of The High 5 Habit: Take Control of Your Life With One Simple Habit by Mel Robbins. I did not finish before it had to be returned to the library so I am waiting for it. At this point there are 7 holds ahead of me so I think it is going to be awhile before it is my turn.

Wednesdays Are For Knitting and Reading

I am working hard to keep my knitting and reading progress up. I really want to get my time in for both but it has been difficult lately.

I have finished two preemie hats so far in 2023. I am also working on the blanket for my great nephew but did not get a picture of that.

I am starting my second "real" book for the year. I have finished two small books on personal development but only one longer book.

The premise of the book seems interesting so I am hoping that it will keep my attention.

Wednesdays Are For Knitting

My knitting output for the first quarter of 2022 was much better than my reading output. I managed to finish 8 projects for the quarter. Of course I knit fairly small things but I am still happy about this number. Here is what was finished. As a warning the links are for Ravelry if you have issues with the site.

Wednesdays Are For Knitting

Even though I only knit about 5 rows per day I have managed to finish a couple of things the past couple of weeks.

The preemie hat for October. Although it was not finished until the 4th of November.

This is a gift dishcloth to join a Christmas themed dishcloth bundle.

Not a ton but every little bit counts.
