Project Spectrum Saturday

This is the last Project Spectrum Saturday. These art pieces are perfect for this color group. The white art with a gray matte in a black frame.

I have really enjoyed looking at this color groupings in my everyday life. I plan to continue this if there is another Project Spectrum in 2012. Until next time ....

Some More Things Completed

I have been finishing up some projects which is nice. I have come across some extra knitting time in the AM. I have been getting up and working out every morning. However, I have to sit for 15-20 minutes to cool off before I get in the shower or I start sweating again as soon as I get out. So I have been using that time to knit.

Lattice and Bobbles Cloth. I actually really dislike this one. I do not like how the yarn knit up and I am so not a bobble person. Details at Ravelry and the FO Blog.

Darkside Cowl. This will be my only project for the final month of Project Spectrum. I loved the pattern and am very happy with the result. I am less happy with the huge tangle of yarn that I ended up having to unravel but oh well. Details at Ravelry and the FO Blog.

Diamonds and Bobble Cloth. Again I am not a bobble person but I do love the cable that surrounds the bobbles. Details at Ravelry and the FO Blog.

Now I need to get cracking on some WIPs. Especially my Alix Lace Shawl and the Fake-A-Gamo Bag. They have been on the needles for way to long. Until next time ....

Project Spectrum Saturday

I am still having a hard time locating aqua in my life. So this week I present my current Project Spectrum project. I am calling this my Jell-O Shawl since I dyed the yarn with Jello-O and the pattern is 198 Yards of Heaven.

September Project Spectrum Wrap Up

After completing only one project for Project Spectrum in August I bounced back in September. I managed to knit 5 dishcloths in the month. Here are the final 3 cloths that I have not blogged yet. As always the details are at Ravelry and the FO Blog.

October is off to a great start as well but that will have to wait for another day. Until next time ....

Project Spectrum Saturday

There is not much aqua/cyan in my world so I am cheating a bit. This picture was taken in 2007 during Project Spectrum 2.0. This is Patons Classic Wool that I dyed with Berry Blue Jell-o. It has been sittng in my stash since. Now I plan on casting on for 198 Yards of Heaven with it.

Project Spectrum Saturday on Sunday

Once again I am late with my Project Spectrum Saturday post. Yesterday was a pretty busy day so I did not have time to get the pictures taken before the sun went down. So this week I bring you Clark's room. The color on the walls is Pooh Bear Yellow. We had to buy this color since his room is done in Winnie the Pooh.

Until next time ....

August Wrap Up and September Start

Due to the time spent knitting on the slog I did not have much production on pink projects for Project Spectrum in August. In fact I completed only 1 thing - a dishcloth that actually was not finished until September. This is the Twisted Rib Cable Cloth. Details as always are at Ravelry and the FO Blog.

However, September is off to a great start. I have finished my first yellow project for the month.

This is the Cable and Braid Cloth. Details at Ravelry and the FO Blog. I must say that I am really enjoying knitting these cable patterns as dishcloths. I will be a little sad once I am finished. I guess it is a good thing that I still have a lot of patterns to go! Until next time ....

Clark has quite a few yellow and metallic cars.

Project Spectrum Saturday

A new month means a new color. For September we are looking out for yellow things. A few months ago at daycare the kids made handprints and painted them. Clark's handprint is yellow. This will be a nice rememberance of him being little once he is a teenager with an attitude.

Project Spectrum Saturday

I could not decide on a picture today so you get two.

First up some pretty yarn. This is Knitpicks Stroll Tonal in Deep Waters. I bought this to get the free shipping when I ordered the yarn for my niece's blanket. I am thinking about making a cozy cowl with it.

Second I have the traditional toy car shot. Not to many in pink and purple but that does not really surprise me.

Until next time ....

Project Spectrum Saturday on a Tuesday

Running late again this week. This is one of my favorite pieces of art in our house. Purple is my favorite color so this piece has always attracted me.

Until next time ....

I am not feeling so hot so today you get a pretty uninspiried picture. I give you my constant companion - my pink water bottle.

July Project Spectrum Wrap Up

It is the end of another month so it is time for another Project Spectrum wrap up. July was not a very productive month FO wise but I do have a deadline blanket knit that I have been concentrating on.

Starting out the month I finished up a June Project. This is the Smocked Cable Cloth. Details at Ravelry and the FO Blog.

Next up is the Slipped Circular Cable Dishcloth. Not so big on the bobbles on this one. See details at Ravelry and the FO Blog.

The second and last blue FO is the Elongated Cable Dishcloth. Details are located at Ravelry and the FO Blog.

Finally it is not an FO but I have been working on my Simple Socks. I am finishing up the gusset decreases and then it will be down the foot and hopefully a quick FO. I do have a couple of projects in mind for the Pink/Purple theme for August but first I have a blanket to finish! Until next time ....

Project Spectrum Saturday

I could not decide which picture to use so this week you get two Project Saturday images.

First is Clark's blue race car bed with his favorite blue Lightening McQueen blanket.

Next up the blue vases that sit on the shelf in our bedroom.

The next color up is pink. This one is going to be a little tough. Until next time ....
