First off Happy 4th of July to all you Americans out there. I hope you all had great picnics, bbqs, fireworks and the like.
So I don't know if I can knit Birch. I attempted to start it tonight and it was not pretty. I think I need pointier needles. Mine are to dull to pick up the tiny thread. Also, I am not sure I like the Kidsilk that much. I only tried knitting with it for about an hour so maybe I am being premature but it is a bitch to work with. I actually may try to knit with smaller needles than the size 8s the pattern calls for. But for now the Birch is on hold. Maybe I will try this weekend when I'm not so tired. I am going to go have my evening snack and get ready to go back to work tomorrow. Until next time ....

You can do it!!! I knit my first Birch with Clover bamboo needles, not sure what kind you're using but the bamboo keeps the KSH from slipping off the needles. I'm rooting for you to join the I Love Birch Club!
Apparently pointy needles make all the difference... and you can do it! You've got all of our Detroit Posse cheering you on too!
