Every knitter has one of these projects on occasion. This is the project that seems to linger on the needles forever. For me that project was my
Alix's Prayer Shawl. This project was cast on January 1, 2010. Yes I said 2010. I ripped it out and started over so many times - that last restart was March of this year. I was bound and determined to finish it before the end of the year and I was successful. Here are some pre-blocking shots.
I am hoping to block this weekend but I am sick and do not know if I will want to crawl on the floor pinning it out. It may have to wait for the long Thanksgiving weekend but it will be done soon. Now I need to cast on my next shawl pattern. Until next time ....

Very pretty. Love the stitch pattern and color. It much feel good to have it finished....great job :)
it looks beautiful. i think i still have something from 2009/2010 so don't feel bad.
