FO: Sunday Market Scarf

Back in October I went through and added all of the full balls in my stash to Ravelry. When I did I realized that I had a lot of yarn that I bought when first started knitting back in 2005. One of these was 2 balls of Moonlight Mohair in Coral Reef. I loved the dark blue and copper colors in the yarn and that is why I bought it. I decided that this yarn needed to get out of my stash so I went looking for projects and found the Sunday Market Shawl.

I cast on half the number of stitches so it is more of a scarf than a shawl. The pattern is very easy and got a bit monotonous toward the end. The yarn though was not fun to work with and I can see why it was discontinued. It was very splitty and bits of mohair were flying everywhere. Plus I think I may have a bit of an allergy to mohair since it made me a bit itchy. For this reason I will not be wearing it and it will go in the gift/charity pile. Until next time ....

I've made a few scarves out of Moonlight Mohair. I used the freebie pattern on the back of the label as it used up one skein. It can be a little splitty.

I have quite a few balls of yarn like that. I think we all do. It is a nice shawl.
