I have not done one of these is awhile and it is time. I listen to/watch a lot of podcasts so the topic for this week is 10 Favorite Knitting Podcasts. I am going to do 5 video and 5 audio podcasts. Maybe one day I will resurrect my own podcast.

A Sock and a Shout Out

I have managed to complete at least one sock. This is a very simple pattern. I did 1 inch of 1x1 rib for the cuff and then 6 inches of 3x1 rib for the leg and foot with an eye of partridge heel. The yarn was dyed by my friend Miranda and is really nice to work with. I have yet to cast on for the mate because I have become shawl obsessed but I will probably start it on Wednesday for knit night.













Now for a shout out. My friend Tina has a new video podcast called Knitting Blooms. She just posted her second episode yesterday. Be sure to go check it out as I think she is doing an awesome job. Until next time ....

Podcasts

So I am new to this whole podcasting thing but I am loving it. I listen to them at work when the whining and complaining gets to me. I love that even though I can not knit I can listen to people talk about knitting. Here are some of my favorites so far.

1) Cast On - I love Brenda's voice. I find it very soothing and relaxing to listen to. I love her philosophy on knitting and crafts in general.
2) Craft Lit - this combines two of my loves, books and knitting. I am still working my way through the archives of this one
3) Yarn Craft - this is brought to us by the folks at Lion Brand. While I was expecting this to be a big commercial for their products it really was not.
4) CRL - this podcast is brought to us by Vickie Howell of Knitty Gritty fame. I like that she talks about all sorts of crafts not just knitting.
