Comments: I made these for the Moms With Yarn pediatric cancer awareness KAL. The pattern is very quick, easy and cute.

FO: Clark's Spidey Blanket

 

Clark's Spidey Blanket

Pattern: Spiderman  Banket by Anne M

Needles: size 8 

Yarn: Red Heart Super Saver in Cherry Red and Royal

Modifications: I did not do the crochet webbing because a) I do not crochet and b) I wanted this thing done

Comments: this is huge (55" diameter) and was a beast to knit but he loves it and that is all that matters. The pattern actually is very easy and I would recommend it if you are up for it.

Yes it is November and I am posting a finished object from April. I guess I am slightly behind but I only have a few more to go.

Comments: a nice easy pattern like all of Rebecca Danger's patterns.

FO: Buddha Sweater

Once I finished his sweater Clark decided he needed a matching one for his dog, Buddha.

Pattern: Webkinz Sweater Pattern
Needles: Size 8 bamboo
Yarn: Lion Brand Wool-Ease in Ranch Red
Modifications: made about an inch longer to cover his body more
Comments: very easy pattern. Boy and dog are both pleased

Modifications: made sleeves longer for his arms.

Comments: this was a very easy pattern. Clark loves it and wore it many times.

I have quite a backlog of FO posts to write. First up is my Spa Set #3.

Modfications: none

Comments: I used the Very Easy Guide to Cable Knitting for the cable patterns. I used the Mock Gull Stitch, Elongated Cable, Cable and Braid and Staggered Cables. I plan to write these up and publish them for free on Ravelry at some point.

Pattern: None – just a simple tube with 1” of 2x2 ribbing and the rest in stockinette

Needles: Size 1 bamboo

Yarn: Patons Kroy in Grey Brown Marl and Flax

Comments: very easy and he loves them

FO: Clark's Valentine Hearts

I try to make the little man something for each holiday. I was not finding any toys that I wanted to make so I ended up looking for heart patterns instead. Clark loves stringing things across the house so a heart garland was decided upon.

Pattern: Ewe Ewe Heart Heart by Heather Walpole

Needles: Size 6 bamboo

Yarn: Bernat Softee Chunky in Pink, Caron Simply Soft in Strawberry, Lion Brand Pound of Love in Bubble Gum and Mystery Wool in Red

Miscellaneous: Fiber Fill and a piece of black yarn to string them onto

Modifications: none

Comments: this was a very easy pattern to make. If I were to make theses again I would use a smaller needle for the red ones. I am pretty sure the mystery wool is a fingering weight so the size 6s were to big and you can see a bit of the stuffing through the stitches. He is happy with it though and that is all that matters.

FO: My Fingers Are Freezing Mittens

Presenting my first FO of 2015 – the My Fingers Are FreezingMittens. I only had fingerless mitts – which are falling apart anyway – and my fingers were freezing when I would go out to clean off the car and take Clark to the bus stop. I decided that I needed some cozy mittens to keep my fingers warm.

Pattern: Simply Chunky Mittens by Marla Holt

Needles: Size 10-1/2 bamboo DPNs

Yarn: Highland Handmades Basswood Bulky in Heather’s Dilemma 

Modifications: The pattern called for size 10 needles but I used what I had 

Comments: This was a very easy and nice pattern. Using bulky yarn they knit up quick – I started these on January 6^th and finished them on January 15^th.  I won the yarn in a contest through the Knit Sip podcast. It was very nice to knit with and I love the color. I am loving the final product and am glad to finally have warm fingers .
