Halfway there

I am half finished with Clark's Christmas vest. I have every confidence that this will be done in plenty of time since I have knit the back twice already. The first one was way to large so I had to rip back and reknit. The armholes were halfway down his torso!

Although the pattern does not show up very well in this yarn I am very happy with how it is turning out. I can not wait to see him in it.

I will be casting on for the front tomorrow. Jerry and Clark are taking a road trip to Muskegon to see Jerry's daughters and grandson so I will be heading to Tina's for her monthly knitting club. I do not get to go very often so I am really looking forward to it. Until next time ....

Winning is Good

A while ago I entered a comment on Deb's blog to help her get to her 14,000th comment. Well little did I know that I was the 14,000th commenter and won her contest. I rarely win anything so I was pretty surprised. Last weekend her package arrived.

She is in the process of weeding out some of her books (take a look at her for sale items she has some great stuff) and forwarded some of them my way. They have been added to my to be read pile on my nightstand and can not wait to get started. Thanks Deb!

Next time I will kvetch to you all about my yarn (or lack there of) issues. I have learned my lesson the hard way. Until next time ....

Some more projects (and the weekend) bite the dust

So another weekend has come and gone. I even took the day off on Friday and this weekend went by in a flash. On Friday I had to go to have an ultrasound done (no I am not pregnant!) and tomorrow on my way to work I have to have blood drawn (a nightmare because of my horrible veins). However, it was a nice weekend overall. Yesterday I hung out at Amanda's with her and Amby. I have some pictures of the occasion but I do not want to be killed by those two so I will not post them here. Although I will say that they suit both of them very well!

I do have a couple of finished objects to show off.

This is a simple 2x2 ribbed afghan square. It is made from Red Crap Heart but it was an easy PS 2.0 project. This will go to Warm Up America at the end of PS with the others I plan to make.

This is the March KAL for the dishcloth group. I love the little bunny butt! Details of all the FOs are here as always.

Finally, for PS 2.0 here are my favorite blue shoes. I love these shoes. They were $10 at Payless but they are the most comfortable shoes I own.

So now I am off to knit some more and relax before my Sunday slips away from me. Have a great week everyone. Until next time ....
