Maybe the curse has lifted!?

So I am hoping that the curse on my knitting has been lifted - finally. After much frogging I was able to finish the July Mid-Month KAL for the dishcloth group.

I love this pattern even if it was difficult to knit in the beginning. I kept losing stitches - ending up with 38 or 39 when I should of had 40. As always the details are located here. Now I can hopefully finish some of my other projects. I did have to frog back about 5 rows of my shawl at SNB of Wednesday and I have not touched it since then. Maybe I will try again tomorrow.

So this has been an interesting weekend. I worked yesterday for a few hours (yay for overtime) and we went to the Tiger game. I got sunburned. It is really bad on my right leg. Of course the only part that got burnt was from mid-thigh to my knee - the only part exposed to the sun. That should make for an interesting tan line! Then today we went to get the secretary that was at my aunt's house.

I love it! It used to be in the cabin up north and is pretty old. My hubby is not in love with it but is putting up with it for me. I don't know why my grandparents painted it avocado green but it was the 60s and that was in. Maybe we'll strip it one day but for now it will stay green.

Last week Meijer had Sugar 'n Cream on sale for $1.00 so I stopped by Friday after work. Their selection left a lot to be desired but I did get 5 balls.

I got light blue, black, sage green, wine and navy. I also just found out that Michaels is also selling Sugar 'n Cream this week for $1.00 so I will have to stop there one day this week and stock up before going on vacation.

I will try to update again before I leave for up north on Saturday but I make no guarantees. I have so much to do before we leave. If I don't get a chance I will see you all when I get back in August. Until next time....

That dishcloth looks wonderful - the yarn really suits that pattern. And nice job stocking up on $1 yarn. Can't beat that.

You could always paint the secretary a different colour over the green... might be faster than stripping it.

Have a great vacation if I don't see you before you leave.
