Please Don't Faint!

I have actual knitting content today. I have been working on a baby blanket for Miss Amy, our daycare lady. She is due at the end of September and I wanted to make something special for her.

The pattern is Baby Prayer Blanket by Joy Jannotti and the yarn is Red Heart Soft Baby in Naptime. I think this will be my new go to baby blanket pattern. It is easy enough to memorize but interesting enough to not bore me to tears. The yarn has a pretty interesting story behind it. My former boss was trying to crochet a baby blanket for her niece. When things did not work out the way she wanted to she gave up on the project - patience is not one of her strong points. She had lost the receipt for the yarn so instead of taking it back for a store credit she gave it to me. This is the woman who always said she never had any money but she gave me $20 worth of yarn for nothing. Oh well, her loss my gain. A couple more pattern repeats and the blanket should be long enough. I plan on putting an I-cord border on it since the edges are curling. I am hoping to have some time to make a little layette set as well.

Well I do have more knitting progress to show you but I think I will save that for another day. I do not want to show all of my cards at once now do I? Until next time ....
