Books Read - January 2012

I am on pace to finally make my goal of reading 52 books in 52 weeks. I do not know if it will continue but I am enjoying it anyway. So in January I read the following:

1) In Sheep's Clothing: A Torie O'Shea Mystery by Rett MacPherson - in this installment our favorite genealogist travels to visit her aunt and uncle in Minnesota. While there her aunt asks her to find out the identity of the girl who wrote a diary she found in the attic. Of course someone does not want Torie to figure out the mystery.

2) All Wound Up: The Yarn Harlot Writes for a Spin by Stephanie Pearl-McPhee - more terrific essays about knitting and life.

3) Captive Star: Book 2 of The Stars of Mirtha Trilogy by Nora Roberts - M.J.O'Leary is on the run with bounty hunter Jack Dakota with the diamond sent to her by her friend Bailey. There are men trying to kill her, she does not know if her friends are alive and of course she is falling in love with the man with her.

4) The Beach Street Knitting Society and Yarn Club by Gil McNeil - Jo Mackenzie is newly widowed and confused since just before he died her husband told her he wanted a divorce. She moves with her 2 sons from London to the small sea side town where she grew up to take over her grandmother's yarn shop. There she makes new friends with the strong circle of women she knits with at her store.
