2009 Year in Review

2009 has been an interesting year for sure. I had to have surgery, 17 days later I was laid off and I still have not found a job. However, I have been at home with Clark which has been amazing. So while some bad things happened all in all I think 2009 was an ok year. Not bad, not great just ok.

So now is the time to look back on my 2009 To Do and To Do Not lists and see how I did. I managed to get new glasses, pay off my credit cards, be the best wife and mother I could be, incorporate the Fly Lady routines into my day, clean up the basement, and sort of clean Clark's closet (things don't fall on me when I open it anymore). I also managed to smash my goal of reading 20 books for the year. I managed to read 33 books (10616 pages) this past year which is a HUGE number for me. Here is my 2009 book read list

Knitting wise I did not complete many projects this year. In fact there was a 6 month gap, from June to December, where I did not complete anything. However, I did manage to complete:

3 dishcloths (here, here and here)
2 hats (here and here)
A baby sweater
One pair of socks
A baby vest
A wine cozy
A turtle
A book sweater
A blanket

I wish you all a safe and happy new year. I will be back tomorrow with my 2010 To Do and To Do Not lists. Until next time ....

Congrats! Neat that you track your pages read too. In this digital age, it's neat to see page counts. (Obviously, simple things amuse me...)

Happy 2010!

Great read list. As the years pass, it comforts me to keep track of thethings I complete. Great sense of accomplishment. Happy 2010!

what a great idea to keep track of all the books you read and a timeline for how long it takes you to start and finish them. :) how were the tori spelling books? how was fat girl? My sister has that but I know has yet to read it. Hmm..can't wait to see you list of to do's and to don'ts (yet another great idea!). :)
