I am overwhelmed!
So Amby and Tina were right! I received my Ravelry invite last night. Please look me up, my name is bluedolphin. There is a reason behind that name but I am not ready to explain just yet. I have no idea what to do on there first. However, I can totally see how this is a time-sucker like everyone says. I am off to play now!

I'm Back!!!
So we returned from New York on Sunday night and I am still exhausted. NYC was fun as always but I was happy to return to quiet Rochester. I did not do much knitting because I was to busy being entertained by my niece. Now it is almost September and I have no idea where the summer went. My first MSU football game is Saturday at noon and Labor Day is Monday. Next thing we know it will be Christmas! Until next time ....

Finished Objects and New Yarn
So I have been a finishing fool the last week or so. I have completed three projects since last Saturday. The details for these are located here as always.

This is my second MDK Ballband Cloth. I love the contrast of this version much better than the first one.

I finally finished my Irish Hiking Scarf. This will be very warm once the cold weather gets here in a few short months.

Yesterday I finished the knitting on my Fuzzy Feet. Tht little bit of yarn on the right of the picture is all I had left over. I was sweating torwards the end of the toe decreases. Now I just have felt them.
I have also made two stash enhancements.
This is Malabrigio Lace Weight in Purple Mystery. It is purple even if it looks blue in the photo. I bought this at HYAW's Knitter's Night Out last Friday. For $10 this is the softest, yummiest yarn I have felt. There is enough to make a small shawl so I will look for patterns soon.

Today I went to Joann's to buy some ribbon yarn. I want to blend it with some eyelash I have to make a MP3 cozy for my trip to NYC this week.
Speaking of my trip to NYC we leave early Thursday morning so we will be staying at a hotel down my the airport Wednesday night. I do not think that I will be able to update before I leave so I will see you on the flip side. Until next time ....

Interweave Knits Fall 2007
So once again the Fall issue of Interweave is a winner. I want to knit almost every pattern in this issue but these are my favorites.

Mirepoix Bodice by Mary Jane Mucklestone. I have never seen a Fair Isle pattern I would actually wear but this is my favorite in the issue. This is going on my to knit list.

Tangled Yoke Cardigan by Eunny Jang. Eunny provides us with another winner. This is such a simple cardigan with just enough flair to make it interesting.

Concentric Vest by Teva Durham. I am surprised again that I like this pattern. It reminds me of something you would wear swishing down the slopes. Since I do not ski I see myself wearing this to football games in the fall.
Now from the WTF files. This actually has nothing to do with the pattern or design but with the way they piece is photographed.

Why in the heck did they decide to have a woman wearing a satin dress wear this cardigan? It just looks so weird to me. It is such a cute piece and would look much better if she was wearing jeans and a t-shirt with it.
So in the next entry I will explain how I managed to complete not one but two projects this weekend. I guess miracles will never cease. Until next time ....

Up North Knitting Projects
So this week has totally kicked my butt! I am completely exhausted and run down. I guess my body got used to sleeping in and taking naps every day on my vacation. Tonight I created this mosaic of my up north knitting projects. I added the details here the other night.
The top row from left to right are the Sophie Bag, June Mid-Month KAL - Moss Ivy Cloth and the Garterlac Dishcloth. The bottom row from left to right are the May Mid-Month KAL - Stepping Stones, July Mid-Month KAL - Bamboozled and the Mason-Dixon Balland Dishcloth. It is amazing how much I can get done when I do not have to work. I also read tow books while up there.
So I received my Fall Interweave the other day and I will review it in my next post. I will say that I am pretty pleased overall with this issue. Until next time

Home Sweet Home
So I made it home from vacation safe and sound. We actually came home a day early on Friday because it was hotter than hades up there. I have officially become a wimp. I used to live upstairs at my parents house where it was 100+ degrees in the summer without air conditioning. Now I melt when the house gets over 75 degrees. I did get a lot of knitting and reading finished while I was up there and I feel very refreshed. I still do not want to go back to work tomorrow! Oh well back to reality for me.
Before I left for vacation I was tagged by Laurie as a

and now i have to tag 5 fellow bloggers for the honor. So here are some Rockin' Girl Bloggers
- Tina from Blooming Knitter
- Katherine from Bald Sheep
- Amanda from Stray Cat
- Miranda from The Girls With the Purls
- Sherry from Chaos Theory (one of the first blogs I ever read)
So next in my next entry I will show off all my knitting I did while on vacation. Until next time ....
